Dear Steve, Best wishes to you, your family and friends. Make yourself a wonderful birthday. Is it really 30 years ago that you played over here? Please think about touring here once again, if I could, I'd invite you to play the Grillo Theater in Essen or the "ebertbad" in Oberhausen. Hope to see you live. Greetings from all your fans in Essen.

Steve, I hope that this note finds you well. I never thanked you for sending me "THE GREEN FIELD" CDs a long time ago. So, many years later, THANK YOU!! As you know, I've always been a fan (since the Larry Coryell "TWO FOR THE ROAD" days). Do you ever get out here to CA to perform? I would really enjoy seeing you again. Perhaps, if you had other gigs out here on the west coast. At any rate, be well, Steve, and please let me know if you ever get out here to play. Regards, Len

Hey Man.... Just a quick note to say that I stumbled onto your website while looking for Mike Brecker playing EWI. And I was there with you in the "TIGHTROPE" and "THE BLUE MAN" days - as a young trumpet player, just getting my head wrapped around what we called "Fusion"! Your solos always transfixed me and made me think about approaching chord changes differently, and your signature TONE! I also appreciated your acoustic pieces - wonderfully recorded - and in a class by themselves. So thanks for the memories and the inspirations. I'm glad you're still 'doin' it'! Be well.

Hey Steve, First of all thank you for your beautiful music and your awesome website! I feel like your website is what the internet was made for! I'm a Jazz-Bass student from Germany. In one of our ensembles we play your albums, "EYEWITNESS" and "CASA LOCO" and I have to say it is a very fun but challenging experience. Your KHAN'S KORNER pages already helped me alot, and I read through all of ur analyses of both "Casa Loco" and "Some Sharks" but there are two parts that I just can't get my head around. If you would have any methods or ideas how to get into the feel, that would be great. Stay tuned and greetings from Germany, Willi!

I would love to see you do some guitar clinics. Are you coming to the Philadelphia area sometime this year?

Hi Steve, I wanted to drop in and say I'm a huge fan of your work. I am an amateur guitarist and huge jazz enthusiast and you have made a tremendous impact on my artistic journey. "THE GREEN FIELD" is probably my favorite jazz album of all time. Something about the atmosphere and the interplay on that record is just so organic and unique. Your guitar tone and the way it was recorded on the album is sublime.
I was wondering what guitar/amp combo you used on the record, and how you mic'd your amp for the recording? I had to ask as I have been listening to this album on repeat since its release when I was still in high school. Thank you for taking the time to read my message once again! Best, Henry

Hi Steve, Thank you for all your music. Just listening to your version of "All or Nothing At All" from "HEADLINE" and was amazed at how incredible it is! Seeing your Discography blew my mind. You are on so many of my favorite albums. Best, Jeff and Nicole

Hi Steve, Hadn't visited your site in a while and I did yesterday. Appreciate the update on the "QUANTUM CRIMINALS" book. I just ordered it from Amazon this morning and they're delivering it tomorrow. I've loved your work since I bought "THE BLUE MAN" in 1979. Best Regards, Robert

Steve my man, the greatest Steely Dan guitar solo is not "Kid Charlemagne." It's the "Glamour Profession." Taking nothing away from Larry Carlton, but - nothing touches the "Glamour Profession"! Carry on good Sir!
